Caring For Your Jewellery

    • Remove jewellery before entering any aquatic environment, while conducting cleaning tasks or while doing exercise.

    • Thoroughly dry your jewellery with a clean, dry and soft cloth once it has been exposed to water.

    • Makeup, perfume and hairspray can damage your jewellery. Make sure that your jewellery is last to be put on after dressing and the first to come off before getting undressed.

    • Gently wipe your jewellery clean to remove skin oils and makeup.

    • While storing your jewellery, always best to store in a separate compartments of your jewellery box or even individual pouches to avoid scratching.

    • Regularly check rings to ensure claws or settings are not damaged.

    • Regularly check the bale of your pendant as it may have been worn by the chain.

    • If there is damage, avoid wearing the item until it has been checked by a qualified jeweller.

    • Prepare a small bowl of lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Brush pieces gently with a soft toothbrush and rinse under warm running water then pat dry with a soft cloth.

    • Be aware not to immerse opal triplets or doublets in water as this will delaminate them and your piece will appear cloudy.

    • Pearls should only be wiped gently with a damp cloth to clean and allowed to dry. They must also be kept in a breathable pouch as they need moisture.

  • • We suggest bring your jewellery into the store at least every twelve months to have it checked. This service is complementary and we will advise and quote if any maintenance or repair work is require to keep your jewellery looking its best.
